The Waterford Forest Owners Group AGM was held on Wednesday the 26th Of November 2014 with Guest Speakers John Casey from Teagasc, Liam Flemming from Waterford Energy Bureau and The Irish Wood Producers Chairman Burke Corbett, Director Anthony Browne and Manager Alex Kelly.

• SIMWOOD…WWP has submitted a joint application in the European SIMWOOD project, which will look at collaborative initiatives to increase timber supplies from forest owners.
• Energy Europe Biomass Trader Centres – The company Chairman, Nicholas Sweetman, is visiting Austrian counterparts in March under the Intelligent Energy Europe Biomass Trader Centres project.
• Vulcan Project – Wexford Wood Producers are part of the Vulcan Project, a regional initiative that aims to establish five wood producer groups in the southeast to develop a supply of biomass and consumers of the product. One of the project partners, Danone has completed the installation of a large biomass boiler which will require 16,000 tonnes of woodchip/year.
