- SIMWOOD…WWP has submitted a joint application in the European SIMWOOD project, which will look at collaborative initiatives to increase timber supplies from forest owners.
- Energy Europe Biomass Trader Centres – The company Chairman, Nicholas Sweetman, is visiting Austrian counterparts in March under the Intelligent Energy Europe Biomass Trader Centres project.
- Vulcan Project – Wexford Wood Producers are part of the Vulcan Project, a regional initiative that aims to establish five wood producer groups in the southeast to develop a supply of biomass and consumers of the product. One of the project partners, Danone has completed the installation of a large biomass boiler which will require 16,000 tonnes of woodchip/year.
